Medina college mourns 49 year old teacher who passed away during lesson

This in from Medina College. Our thoughts are with Chris’ family and those at the college – Ed.

Yesterday, the Medina Community received some very sad news. Mr Chris Wilkins, who taught ICT, Government and Politics at the VI Form and was tutor to Y8, suffered from a heart attack and subsequently passed away.

Today, we have been respectfully marking his passing with a series of assemblies. Chris suffered the heart attack whilst teaching at the VI Form Campus and was taken straight to St Mary’s hospital where he passed away.

Chris was a witty, intelligent, well liked and respected teacher who will be sadly missed by all of the staff and students at Medina College.

Chris was 49 years old and leaves behind a wife and two sons, one in year nine at Medina and a second in year six who will be joining us next year.

Our thoughts, love and best wishes are with them all.

RIP Wilko, you have left behind so many people who loved you, not just your family, but your students at sixth form and Medina.

Condolences to your wife and your two boys. We are all proud of you, you were an amazing ICT teacher to me and your classes. You will never be forgotten.
