The name of former Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Andrew Turner’s second Election Agent, David Walter, has vanished from the KeepAndrew2015 election Website.
Whereas the Website’s footer previously read,
Website promoted by Jeffrey Walter on behalf of Andrew Turner both of 58 The Mall, Carisbrooke Road, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1BW.
It’s now just reads

OnThewight has also been told that David Walter was absent from the Hustings held by the Chamber of Commerce last night.
Twitter account changed
In addition to this, David Walter’s Twitter account bio has been altered and the line “Proud to be a Conservative — Andrew Turner’s Election Agent” has vanished.
David Walter became Andrew Turner’s Election agent after his previous one, Mike Rooke, stepped down in January.
The Isle of Wight Conservative Association Executive Council met this evening.
Email blunder
It’s unknown who was responsible, but at the end of March an email, widely-seen as a considerable blunder, was sent out to a wide range of people asking for help with Mr Turner’s election campaign, including driving him around.
Subsequently it’s came to light that the misuse of email addresses can break Data Protection laws.
We’ve attempted to contact David Walter, via his Twitter account, but have yet to hear back from him.
Update: OnTheWight didn’t hear back from David Walter, but he did eventually respond to Jessica Parker from BBC Radio Solent, who Tweeted at 10:32pm on Sunday evening that David had confirmed to her that he was still Andrew Turner’s Agent.
