The ears of listeners to BBC Radio 4’s daily soap, The Archers, will have pricked up during last Friday’s episode.
OnTheWight reader, Hannah Brock, got in touch to let us know that the Isle of Wight had been mentioned as a proposed holiday destination.
Engaged couple, Rob Titchener and Helen Archer, are planning to head to the Island for their summer holiday.
“The Isle of Wight is very nice”
During the programme, Jennifer Archer says, “The Isle of Wight is very nice”. And so it is too Jennifer. Thanks for the great plug!
Apparently, Rob’s got lots of childhood memories here and will be whisking Helen off her feet and across the Solent for some much needed time away.
