grandma at christmas

Can you give the Gift of Love on the Isle of Wight this Christmas?

When Nina Molloy and her husband moved to West Wight this year, she says they felt “so blessed to be welcomed with open arms and an abundance of help and support to become established and a part of the community”.

This unexpected welcome has moved Nina to create a community charity project encouraging donations and nominations to create “gift of love” packs this Christmas. Ed

Do you know anyone who might feel forgotten or overlooked this Christmas?

Will you help us to put together a ‘gift of love’ pack for West Wight people who are alone at Christmas?

We’ll be at CHOYD (Community Hall), St James St., Yarmouth and collecting donations this coming Sunday, 13th December between 10am-2pm.

Please call in for a free coffee and piece of cake to see how you can help make a difference this Christmas.

Items to donate
Your donations will be most welcome. Some suggested items include:

  • Tinned Sponge puddings
  • Coffee // Tea // Sugar // Long life milk
  • Woolly hat and Socks
  • Jumper
  • Blanket
  • Hot water bottle
  • Tinned soup
  • Chocolate
  • Stamps // Envelopes // Paper
  • Toothpaste // Toilet roll // Soap

Any of the above donations would bring joy to those home-alone and isolated this Christmas, bringing some love from the outside community into their lives.

You can nominate someone to receive a gift from the community to bring joy and an awareness that they have not been forgotten.
