22-year-old man charged following Ryde stabbing

A man has been charged following a serious assault in Ryde.

Officers were called at 3.31pm on Friday (27th May) after a man in his 20s sustained a single wound to the torso in Oak Vale, Oakfield, consistent with being stabbed.

The man was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Court appearance on Monday
A 22-year-old from Mayfield Road, Ryde, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and has been remanded to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday 30th May).
