Wow. Well done all of you.
VentnorBlog has passed forty THOUSAND reader comments!
That’s a rough average of over 20 comment per day, every day, for the last five years. An amazing illustration of how the people of the Isle of Wight engage with VB.
No publication or online service on the Island has a community like VentnorBlog and the number of comments that you’re leaving just keeps increasing.
Massive growth
Back in September 2010, on the marking of VB’s fifth birthday, the site had around 30,000 comments. A couple of months later, in mid-November 2010, when VB passed its 10,000 published articles, there were around 32,000 comments.
… growing at 76 a DAY!
And here we are – only three and a half months later – and we’ve passed 40,000 comments. That’s around 8,000 comments – an amazing 76 comments each and every day of those 3.5 months!
All of the numbers above exclude the large number of comments VentnorBlog gets on Facebook and Twitter.
No wonder the Isle of Wight council read VentnorBlog and its comments to take the pulse of the Island.
Page views continuing to grow too
It’s not only the number of comments that have been increasing.
VentnorBlog has over a quarter of a million page views every month – and we’re pleased to say – shows no sign of slowing down.
Thank you!
All in all, we want to say a big ‘Thank You!’ for all being so involved with what goes on.
