Monkton Arts is thrilled to announce the return of the Ryde Gypsy Jazz Festival, taking place in Ryde from Thursday, 8th to Sunday 11th May 2025, and promising an extended weekend filled with vibrant rhythms and melodies made famous by the likes of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
Headline performance by Tatiana Eva-Marie
We are honored to welcome internationally acclaimed artist Tatiana Eva-Marie as the headliner for this year’s festival.
Often referred to as the “Gypsy-jazz Warbler” by the New York Times, Tatiana is a Swiss-American bandleader, singer, author, and actress, renowned for her interpretations of Django Reinhardt’s legacy, blending French pop with Gypsy and folk influences. Her performances have garnered over 80 million views on YouTube, and she has been recognised by Vanity Fair as a millennial shaking up the jazz scene.
Festival highlights
- London Django Collective: Following their captivating performance at last year’s festival, the London Django Collective returns to deliver their unique take on Django Reinhardt’s music, infusing traditional Gypsy Jazz with contemporary influences.
- Panama Picnic Orchestra: This ensemble draws inspiration from Hot Gypsy Swing, Calypso, Latin, and Dark Mambo, crafting original compositions that bring the rhythms and textures of the vintage era to the present day with captivating energy

- Muse Manouche: Comprising of Olivia Cure (vocals inspired by the Parisian Jazz Scene), Hugo Boswell (Guitar), Steve Thompson (Guitar) and Jon Thorne (Double Bass)
- Late Night Jam Sessions: Join us for spontaneous collaborations among festival artists, offering a unique and intimate musical experience each night.
New additions
This year, we’re introducing busking performances at various public hotspots around Ryde, including the Bus Museum and Appley Tower. These informal sessions aim to bring the spirit of Gypsy Jazz directly to the community, creating an immersive cultural experience for all.
We are also using a range of new venues around Ryde, a full set of which will be released closer to the festival.
