A Touch of Class and The Ohmz perform for Isle of Wight Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

Right at Home Isle of Wight, a prominent homecare business, is set to host an evening of music to support the Alzheimer’s Society.

This cause holds a special place in the hearts of the business owners, Paul and Vicky, who have been consistent supporters of the charity in their fight to improve the lives of those suffering from dementia.

A commitment to compassionate care
Their relationship with the Alzheimer’s Society served as a crucial factor in the establishment of their homecare enterprise.

Paul and Vicky have shown unflinching dedication towards their cause, persistently organising fundraising events for the charity.

Trek 26: A walk with purpose
In a bid to further bolster their commitment to the cause, Paul, who also serves as the managing director, has embarked on a ‘Trek 26’ fundraising challenge. The proceeds from the music event’s ticket sales will directly support Paul’s fundraising efforts for the said endeavour.

Paul will be covering a gruelling 26-mile hike through the most demanding terrains in the Peak District.

This expedition is a poignant tribute to his father, who sadly succumbed to Alzheimer’s in 2019, seven years after his diagnosis.

An evening of music and solidarity
To make the night a memorable one, and to bring the community together in support of this worthy cause, a line-up of musical talent has been arranged. Kicking off the evening’s entertainment at 8pm is the saxophone and vocal duo, A Touch of Class.

As the evening unfolds, the crowd will be treated to an exhilarating performance by The Ohmz (pictured at Kashmir Cafe, IW Festival), who will be heading onto the stage at 9pm. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for the local community to enjoy a night of music and fun, while simultaneously contributing to a cause that continues to affect many lives.

Where and when
The Right at Home Musical Fundraiser takes place at Strings Bar and Venue, Newport on Friday 21st July from 7.30pm until late.
