The High Sheriff, Robin Courage, said the awards ceremony was the highlight of the year and that he was pleased to be giving awards to some very special young people.
Isle of Wight sailor Natasha Lambert was born with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy, which affects her limbs and confines her to a wheelchair.
As a teenager she started sailing and has become an inspiration to all with the challenges she sets herself to complete.
Challenges such as sailing around the Isle of Wight single-handedly in 2012 using a ‘Sip & Puff’ system, or climbing the 4,080ft Mount CairnGorm Mountain.
In 2020 Natasha sailed across the Atlantic Ocean raising money for three charities; the MissIsle Charity, The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust and The RNLI.
Below are some of the articles featuring Natasha’s inspirational activities.
