A £100 fixed penalty or a fine of up to £1,000 if prosecuted in court, are the consequences of not clearing up after your dog or being on excluded beaches
This poor dog from the other side of the water was dragged into the Solent and may end up on one of our beaches. If you do spot it, please get in touch with the council who will pass on the news to the owner.
The rules, which usually ban dogs from many Isle of Wight beaches between 1st May, were relaxed during lockdown when people were forbidden from sitting on the beach or driving to the beach for exercise
