Wightlink say demand is falling on their Yarmouth to Lymington route, with customers preferring to use other routes, so one of the W-Class vessels will be moving to the Fishbourne route from Summer 2015.
Wightlink provide ferry services to the Isle of Wight. They operate car ferry services from two Island ports, Yarmouth and Fishbourne, as well as a foot passenger services from the end of the pier in Ryde.
Wightlink’s Yarmouth car ferry lands in Lymington. The other two services land in Portsmouth.
The ferry service was bought by Australian-based investment bank, Macquarie, in 2005 for just over £230m.
