Thanks to Lin for this update from Ventnor Film Society. Ed
Ventnor Film Society’s Autumn Season has got off to a flying start with both its first two films, Grand Budapest Hotel and Calvary soon becoming fully booked.
We are very keen to accommodate all who wish to attend, so we have decided to schedule an additional showing of Calvary on Wednesday 24th Sept.
Catholic priest Father James Lavelle learns in the confessional that he is to be murdered in seven days, in revenge for the abuse of a boy by another priest, now dead. Father James, a good priest, has been chosen to play the price.
There are still places available for Wednesday and anyone wishing to attend should book a seat by emailing [email protected].
If bookings stay high for the rest of the season, we will consider making this a regular schedule. Films are shown in Ventnor Arts Club at 7.30pm and tickets cost £5.00 on the door. Membership of the Arts Club is not required.
