Discount food retailer Aldi, has announced plans for a new food store at Cothey Way, Ryde, Isle of Wight.
The proposed store will be on the site of the former Neutrik building, which has been vacant for three years, and aims to improve access to Aldi’s award-winning range of high-quality, low-cost food.

Aldi say key details include:
- Outline plans for modern, flexible employment space in the eastern portion of the site.
- Up to 40 new jobs for the new Aldi store, paid at the highest hourly rates in the sector – above the Real Living Wage.
- Up to 32 new jobs created by the flexible employment space.
- Further job opportunities created in the construction and supply chain for both developments.
- Ample car parking, including accessible, parent and child and EV spaces.
- Extensive cycle parking for customers and staff to encourage active travel.
- A total investment of around £10 million: benefiting Ryde and the Isle of Wight more widely.
