F2F is a new befriending service on the Isle of Wight for parents of children recently diagnosed or still in the process of trying to get a diagnosis for a child of a disability.
The volunteer befrienders who’re just coming to the end of their training now are all parents of children with disabilities themselves and so can truly empathise and understand the emotions of where a new parent is at!
All welcome to launch
There is a launch planned for the service on Wednesday June 20th between 10am-2pm.
There’ll be a free buffet lunch and a chance to meet the scheme coordinator and volunteers.
It takes place at Riverside Centre, The Quay, Newport.
