Through hard work and determination, students with speech, language and communication needs and associated literacy difficulties, achieved excellent results in Entry Level exams, GCSE, BTEC, Functional Skills (Literacy and Numeracy) and Adult Literacy and Numeracy exams.

A proportion of students who sat GCSE exams gained B and C grades and each of the students who took Entry Level certificates gained a distinction in at least one subject.

Brendan Carleton, Principal of St Catherine’s, said,

“Our students have to work extremely hard to overcome the daily challenges they face in the classroom. To gain these results is a fantastic achievement. Every one of them should be very proud of their results, as we certainly are.”
