All welcome to police road safety roadshow

There has been a hive of activity this week over in West with Week Out West activities taking place. Cindy from Hampshire Constabulary has details of two events taking place tomorrow that the public are invited to. Ed

Thursday, March 11 – 4.00pm
The Islands Roads Policing Unit will be at Moa Place car park this Thursday afternoon from 4.00pm.

Seat Belt:Sgt Dave Sanderson and officers from the RPU will be down at the car park with a range of vehicles and displays for the public to come along and take a look at.

Also at the event, the Isle of Wight Council Road Safety Team will be demonstrating their Seat Belt Experience machine along with their Road Safety Exhibition trailer. All ages are very welcome so come on down and see what’s on offer!

Thursday, March 11 – 7.00pm
A presentation by Sgt Dave Sanderson from the Roads Policing Unit will take place at the Memorial Hall at 7.00pm until around 8.30pm.

The theme and motivation of the presentation is respecting road journeys, raising awareness of poor driving standards and makes no apologies for being hard hitting in the message it delivers.

This event is only suitable for those aged 17 and over due to the nature of some of the images used in the presentation. Members of the public will also be able to ask any questions or raise concerns after the event with specialist Hampshire Constabulary traffic officers.

As with most of the Week Out West events, the presentation will be free entry.

For further information please feel free to contact Sgt Mark Lyth at Yarmouth Police Station.
