Ventnor action
Filming is due to come to an end over the weekend, and although there has undoubtedly been some disruption with road closures, it’s been pretty much taken in its stride by Ventnorians.

Our thanks to Fiona Russell for sharing these two videos of some of the action over the last couple of days.

Award-winning actor and singer
Ayushmann shot to fame after winning a reality TV show in 2004 and is now one of India’s highest paid actors.

After winning the second season of reality television show, MTV Roadies, Ayushmann became a TV anchor and went on to star in his first movie in 2012.

He’s since starred in countless movies, also singing in most – earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback.

Battling social norms
Ayushmann has become celebrated for his portrayals in movies of ordinary men battling social norms.

Indeed in the 2017 movie, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, he had the cajones to explore the issue of erectile dysfunction. The sequel to that film addresses homosexuality, whilst in Dream Girl he plays a trans-gender actor who speaks in a female voice at a call centre.

Meanwhile in the hit comedy movie, Bala, Ayushmann plays a young man dealing the pressure of society due to premature balding.
