The Angels have landed in St Helens and all for a good cause

Thanks to Annabel for this latest update from the Village of Angels (aka St Helens). Ed

The Angels have landed and are placing themselves to watch over the Village of St Helens throughout the Christmas period.

Last year Village of Angels in St Helens was a huge success with over 100 Angels landing in the village and shining throughout the Christmas period. This year we have built on that success with more Angels expected to visit the village than ever before.

Wonderfully creative
The Angels are placed throughout the village using a mixture of public space, private homes and local shops, restaurants and the village pub. The local community has been hugely creative using recycled materials to make some highly imaginative Angels; using everything from old newspapers, milk bottles, foil radiator insulation and even some bits from brewing beer.

These materials create a wondrous Christmas Spectacle for everyone to enjoy. The Angels can be seen throughout the village by day and night and it is perfect for a nice family walk whilst enjoying these festive creations.

Support from local businesses
The Businesses in the local community has been extremely generous, Hose Rhodes Dickson have agreed to be overall sponsors of the event and many other businesses sponsoring individual Angels; meaning that all our costs have been covered.

All donations and funds generated from this festive project will be donated directly to St Helens Playgroup to help with running costs throughout the year, so fund raising is of the utmost importance.
