Great news for teachers, pupils and parents at Ryde Academy as their latest Ofsted report reveals the academy has now elevated from Inadequate to ‘Requires Improvement’.
The Academy was rated Inadequate in March 2013 after the Ofsted inspector found the school to the Inadequate.
Dr Rory Fox told OnTheWight,
“At Ryde Academy we are very pleased that OFSTED has recognised the improvements taking place in the Academy, and that OFSTED have now removed the category of ‘inadequate’ which was given to the Academy in March 2013.
“The new OFSTED report is a positive and helpful summary of where the Academy is. It recognises how teaching is improving, that behaviour around the Academy is now good and that bullying has become very rare.
“We are encouraged to see that OFSTED identify the aspects for further improvement which we were already aware of. This means that we can continue confidently with the current programme of improvements, knowing that we are going in the right direction in order to become a good and then an outstanding Academy.”
