Compton beach clean

Another successful haul for Isle of Wight beach cleaning volunteers

The Isle of Wight Beach Cleaning Volunteers were out in full force on Sunday morning for their latest beach clean at Compton.

As can be seen from the photo above, a huge amount of rubbish was collected from the beach by the volunteers – well done to you all.

Unfortunately, a sad reminder of the impact of marine rubbish was also found.

Take part in next beach clean
The next organised beach clean ends with an evening of free music thanks to a collaboration with Spike Oatley and his Campfire Sessions.

It takes place on Friday 12th February between 2.30-4.30pm. Meeting at Yaverland Car Park and ending opposite the old Grand Hotel ready for volunteers to make their way to Browns Golf for a hot drink (on the house – thanks to Clare from Browns) everyone is then welcome to stay and enjoy the Campfire Session #3.
