Those who use the bridge across the train line on Ryde Esplanade, will be aware that it has been out of action since the beginning of the year during necessary maintenance works.
Work was originally expected to the completed by tomorrow (9th March), but we understand from the council that due to “the extent of the work required”, the work won’t be completed until 17th March.
Works that have been taking place include new steel columns being installed, a new deck put down as well as replacement balustrades and steps.
So another week folks or walking round. Please allow extra time to your journey.
