Appeal After Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Newport Collision

Police TapePolice are appealing for information after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Newport.

At around 12.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, January 10), a panel van was in collision with a 80-year-old woman on the High Street.

The woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital having suffered a serious fracture injury.

The van driver, a 21-year-old man, was uninjured.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was on the High Street yesterday lunchtime and who may have witnessed the collision.
