Appeal After Woman Bitten By Dog Near Brading

Dog teeth -Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of a dog biting a woman near Brading on the Isle of Wight earlier this month.

The 71-year-old woman was walking her Bernese mountain dog on the Downs near Bullys Hill when she came across a man walking a Boxer dog.

It’s alleged the brindle-coloured Boxer turned on the woman and bit her on the left arm at 4pm on Monday, March 12, 2012.

The allegation was reported to police yesterday (Tuesday, March 20, 2012.)

Description of owner
The man, who was with the Boxer dog, was described as:

> Aged in his late 30s to early 40s
> Approximately 5 ft 9 ins tall
> Average build.
> He was wearing jeans splashed with paint and plaster.
