Appeal for witnesses to an assault in Cowes

Police are asking for information after a man was attacked in the Dalyan Kebab and Pizza House in Cowes.

The incident happened between 11.15am to 11.30am on Saturday October 27, when a 45-year-old man was left with facial injuries after it’s reported he challenged the verbally aggressive behaviour of another customer whilst he waited for his food order.

Description of suspect
The suspect was described as a white man, in his late twenties, 5ft 8ins tall with fair hair.

He wore a dark short sleeved top with dark trousers and pale coloured shoes.

His female companion had mid length dark, straight hair and was wearing ¾ length trousers and a sleeveless gilet over a long sleeved pale top. The trousers had a pale tassel hanging from the back of the garment.

CCTV image released
They left in the direction of the floating bridge and went from Medina Road into St Andrews Street.

A CCTV image of the couple is being published by police as part of on going enquiries to identify whoever was responsible for the assault.
