You might have heard that John Matthews, who lived in Shanklin, was found dead in Goa on 29th March 2010 just after having celebrated his 49th birthday.
Alongside the grief that his familiy is naturally feeling, they are now facing huge costs to bring John and his belongings home to prepare for burial in the UK.
They are appealing to people, through the Lucie Blackman Trust’s Missing Abroad scheme, to contribute what they can to help the family through this very difficult time, to enable them to bring their loved one home and begin the grieving process.
All funds raised through this appeal will be used to bring John back and it there are any funds left over, they will be used to help other families in similar situations.
If you can, please give.
Missing Abroad are also helping the family by providing practical support, dealing with international red tape and fundraising to help cover the costs incurred.
