Police are appealing for the community’s help to identify whoever was responsible for criminal damage to cars parked in Ryde on the Isle of Wight at the weekend.
The town’s Safer Neighbourhoods team has received reports of at least five crimes so far from motorists in Monkton Street where wing mirrors were removed.
Several thousands of pounds of damage
PC Martin Rogers of the Ryde Safer Neighbourhoods team said: “This mindless vandalism is estimated to have caused several thousands of pounds of damage.
“A man wearing a hooded top was seen acting suspiciously in the area overnight between Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28.
