Update 11.23am:
Missing woman Rosemary Cross has been found safe and well.

Police are making an appeal for information about the whereabouts of a vulnerable woman reported missing on the Isle of Wight.

Officers are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Rosemary Cross, aged 59, who was last seen in the Merstone Lane area of the island at around 4pm on Tuesday, August 20.

Rosemary Cross is described as:

  • White
  • 5 ft 4 ins tall
  • Slim build
  • Blonde hair to the top of her neck
  • Blue eyes
  • Wearing blue jeans and white slip-on shoes

Police are conducting searches for Rosemary Cross on the Island this morning (Wednesday).

  1. pretty sure we saw this lady at about 10pm yesterday walking out of East Cowes ,at the time we thought it was a child so we turned round and went back as we got closer realised it was a woman not a child, and as there is a bus stop just down the road drove on
