Are You Experienced? Spectacular Jimi Hendrix Tribute BandHe went down a storm in the Big Top at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, and at the end of the month (28th), John Campbell plays Jimi Hendrix on the Island once again.

Hendrix fans will know that the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival was the last live show played by the guitar hero, just before he died a couple of weeks later in his London flat.

Tying in with the 40th anniversary of the memorable festival at Afton Downs, Are You Experienced? will be crossing the water and conjuring up memories of Jimi’s historical appearance.

Band as tight as Jimi’s jeans (well, the top section anyway)
The band have been together for over 12 years now and are considered by Hendrix aficionados as ‘The’ Hendrix Tribute.

With Mark Arnold on bass guitar and Kevin O’Grady on drums and backing vocalist, this threesome are a sight to behold as they work through Hendrix’s ‘Hey Joe’, ‘Voodoo Chile’, ‘All Along The Watchtower’, ‘Foxy Lady’ and ‘Little Wing’ to name a few.

Promoter Nigel Smith said “The resemblance between John and the real Jimi goes far beyond just appearance; John’s guitar work is astounding ‘Are You Experienced?’ is a must-see band for true lovers of the Hendrix guitar sound. Supported by The Maxwell’s, this is sure to be a night of fantastic music.”
