Update: We hear on the grapevine that one of the auditors will now be attending. This has changed so many times, we’re not holding our breath.
Following the changes to tonight’s Ventnor Town Council (VTC) meeting that we reported on Saturday afternoon, we now hear that the auditor who was expected to be there to answer questions, will no longer be attending.
The council tell us “The report authors have liaised with the town council throughout the process of compiling the report and attended a town council reporting on 18 January when the report was discussed and accepted.
Given this close involvement throughout, it is felt – and has been agreed with the town mayor – that there is no need for IW Council officers to attend this evening’s meeting.”
Any questions regarding the audit report can be presented to the VTC.
Meeting starts at 7pm sharp at the Winter Gardens.
