More than £1,200 was raised for the Isle of Wight branch of the National Autistic Society on Saturday 2nd April as 15-year old, teenager Josh Peverley stepped out to organise a Music and Comedy Night.
The evening saw top Island bands, all handpicked by Josh himself: The Almighty Chancers, The Scores, Keri Highland and Arizona 81 take to the stage, whilst comedian: Dominic Pope hosted the event and had people laughing between the acts.
Cash for sensory toy library
All money raised on the evening is going towards a Sensory Toy Library which will benefit all disabled children on the Island.
Louise Foley, branch leader of the Isle of Wight National Autistic Society said:

The event also included a grand prize draw, which featured a pair of Bestival tickets as 1st prize, along with family days out to some of the Islands top attractions, meals out, and much more.
Josh, who has autism himself said
“I thought the evening went really well. We had a few challenges to overcome, but apart from that it was a great success.I’d personally like to thank everyone that’s helped and supported me on this. This is my first event and definitely the first of many. I can’t wait to get started on the next one!”
