The twenty-seventh series of Isle of Wight Fell Running returns to Ventnor this weekend, with three races seeing the runners cover 24 miles of off road running with over 4,300 feet of ascent
The Twenty-third Isle of Wight Fell Running Series returns to Ventnor over the weekend of 16 and 17 September and also hosts the SEAA (South of England Athletic Assoc.) Fell Running Championships.
The Isle of Wight Fell Running championships, taking place in Ventnor later this month, have become quite a national event these days. It's great to see the town busy and watch the runners hurtling through the streets.
Although not true fell-running terrain the hills around Ventnor which will host the Isle of Wight Fell Running Series have some of the steepest climbs and descents in the South of England.
Thanks to Chris (Ryde Harriers and Ventnor Fell Running Association) for details of the return of the Fell Running Series to Ventnor this coming weekend.
