Thanks to VB reader Dan Cox who has just called in with details of heavy tailbacks on Briddlesford Road.
He said the traffic tailbacks, of festival-goers heading to Robin Hill, had doubled during his short dog walk.
If you can avoid that area, we’d strongly recommend it.
Gas leak causes diversion
Traffic is also being diverted to nerarby Staplers as the section of road between Coppins Bridge and the start of Fairlee Road is undergoing emergency gas repairs following a gas leak.
The recommended diversion route provided by the council is Staplers Road, Whiterails Road, Station Road, High Street (Wootton), Lushington Hill and Fairlee Road.
Access to Fairlee Road is maintained from the Medina Way dual carriageway via the link road.
