Sainsburys:

Bag packing earns cash for play equipment

Thanks to Tanya for this update from Sainsburys. In her own words, Ed

Thirty two year six children from St. Francis Primary School in Ventnor had a fantastic day at Sainsbury’s packing bags for customers on Friday 19th April.

They raised a massive £465.21 towards equipment for the playground at their new school. The money raised will go towards supplementing the exciting provision that already exists. The Student council are deciding which equipment to purchase.

“We are thinking about possibly buying a climbing frame and more skipping ropes, but we are still having deep discussions about it,” said Jessica Rayner (aged 11) secretary of the Schools Council.

All of the children enjoyed talking to the customers and learning the life skill of packing shopping into bags.

Numerous customers commented on how polite and helpful the children were.
