Music makers and music lovers may remember last year’s ‘Band on da Run’ event. It saw lots of bands competing for £1,000 cash prize and raising money for the Hospice in the process.
Well the event returns again this year and organisers are keen to encourage as many musicians and bands to take part.
30 bands at 30 venues
It’s the brain child of Isle of Wight musician Rob Carr (the driving force behind the excellent PostFest fundraiser festival), and this year Rob is calling on 30 bands to perform as many ten minute acoustic sets at 30 different locations around the Island over five hours.
Once again he’s putting up £1,000 cash prize for the winner and the top five favourite bands voted for by the public also get to play at PostFest over the August Bank Holiday.
The 2013 Band on da Run event takes place on Saturday 27th July between 11am-4pm.
