The national unemployment figures are due out tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.
A BBC film crew have been on the Isle of Wight today filming in advance of the figures being released.
Steph McGovern told VB that she’d spent the day filming for BBC breakfast (BBC1), including a windy afternoon on Ryde Pier talking to 17 year old Jane (pictured), who has been struggling to find work.

As regular readers will know, VB reports the unemployment figures every month showing whether there has been an increase of decrease in the number of people claiming Job Seekers Allowance.
Not surprisingly, the annual trend is for the figures to rise during ‘out of season’ and dip again come Easter time.
Last month was the first to not see a rise in the figures since last summer, with the number of claimants standing at 3,886. Figures will be released tomorrow at around 9.30am
Thanks to VB readers Darren Smith and Darren Gange for the heads up.
