BBC Host Bestival Stage: Island Bands Supported

Big news out of Bestival HQ last week was that good old Aunty will be hosting a huge tent at this years Bestival.

BBC Host Bestival Stage: Island Bands SupportedAunty who? you say. Well, I mean the Beeb, the BBC, the British Broadcasting Company whatever you wish to call them, they’ve stepped in to help make Bestival even better and curator Rob Da Bank has made sure that it’s not only top names (Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Annie Mac) that will be gracing the tent, but also includes some of the best Island acts.

If you can squeeze in with the other 999 people, you’ll be able to see the likes of Bastila, I Love Audrey, Jackson Analogue and The Motion Pictures.

The BBC Introducing … tent is pipped to be the prime destination for great new music and can be found in the centre of the festival site.

Rob da Bank said; “I’m really pleased the BBC Introducing… stage is coming to Bestival! It’s a really great platform for up and coming acts and totally reflects mine and Bestival’s love of new and underground music that might well pop up in the charts in a few months.”

Jason Carter, Editor Live Events Radio 1 and 1Xtra, who leads BBC Introducing… said; “We’re delighted to have BBC Introducing… host a new music stage at this year’s Bestival. It’s fantastic for us to have a strong presence supporting new talent at one of the most exciting events in the UK.” Ah bless.
