BBC Three comedy Dinosaur stars the Isle of Wight in second series on BBC iPlayer

The second series of the award-winning BBC comedy Dinosaur has aired on BBC Three and is now available on BBC iPlayer.

Nina is an autistic woman in her 30s who adores living with her sister and best friend, Evie, in Scotland. She gets a job on the Isle of Wight, where she fulfils her dream of palaeontology, uncovering fossils and discovering the Island’s history.

Starring Ashley Storrie as Nina, that dream became exhausted, missing family and friends in Glasgow.

From Scotland to the Isle of Wight
Although filmed in Scotland, the Isle of Wight film office, Filmwight, hosted the production team for two days on the Island last summer, where filming locations for the series were used.

They were amazed at how easy it was to get to the Island and to film here, as the production team told us.

Just two hours from London
Dave Russell, Film Officer for Filmwight, says,

“So many producers believe the Island is a difficult place to film because it involves a ferry crossing.

“When they arrive, it becomes easy to see we are a great location with so much to offer.”
