Beryl, the company that provides e-scooter rentals on the Isle of Wight, has written to their Island users.
They’ve let them know that loads of the bays that the scooters have to be parked in are being removed (list below).
32 listed
There are 32 of them listed in total across four of the towns that they operate in: Cowes, East Cowes, Newport and Ryde.
Bays in Shanklin and Sandown seem to have been left off the cull list.
They suggested users or potential users can find the nearest active bay in the map that’s built into their App, helpfully finishing by saying, “Please make sure you park in one of these bays to avoid any fees”.

“Don’t worry, this is in preparation for something very exciting.
“Keep your eyes peeled for some big news coming soon about our service on the Island.”
