Great to hear from Rosie Hutton of an Island business that continues to do well despite the difficult financial times we’re all experiencing. If you have some positive business news, let us know and we can share it with our readers. Ed
In the current economic climate, it is always inspirational to hear of local companies growing, especially ones that aim to help every other local company and institution on the island.
Nestled in the busy industrial park in Rookley is an ever-growing company – BETAPAK Ltd.
With its heart set on helping to supply every business on the Isle of Wight with all and any of their needs, BETAPAK Ltd is a total business supply solution, encompassing a far-reaching range of products from cleaning and janitorial products, stationery, catering disposables, office furniture, first-aid, light bulbs, packaging, shop fittings and retail merchandising supplies.
As of 1st April, 2009, BETAPAK Ltd will take over the Island Tea & Coffee Co, expanding its local supply range to include teas, coffee, beverages machines and a huge range of catering supplies in the form of crockery, cutlery, glassware, food storage and kitchen utensils, as well as a large selection of kitchen equipment such as refrigeration, cooking ranges and deep-fat fryers etc.
Peter Tomlinson, Managing Director of Betapak Ltd is absolutely delighted that the Island Tea & Coffee Company joins the likes of Total Hygiene Supplies and Medina Office Supplies under the Betapak umbrella. “Betapak is committed to provide a convenient one-stop supply solution for EVERY business supply need to EVERY business and institution on the Isle of Wight.”
Peter adds, “even if your business doesn’t buy Island Tea & Coffee Co products, customers should still notice some significant benefits from the merger: We will have more vans on the road, improving our delivery capacity even further and enabling us to be more responsive to customer needs. We will have more customer service representatives visiting customers to enable us to offer one-to-one advice across ALL product ranges, along with more phone sales representatives to ensure it is even easier to place an order – for everything you need!”
The Betapak team has also taken the Island Tea & Coffee Company’s existing clients into consideration, and are happy to hear from any businesses that would be interested in any of the company’s supplies. “We will aim, AS A MINIMUM, to match the service you are used to, and we expect to be able to improve the service by giving you access to a much wider range of products than previously possible, to give each customer a really convenient one-stop shop for EVERYTHING they might need.”
All existing and new vending and machinery will continue to be serviced by an island-based team of local engineers, and the Sandy Lane premises will gradually be moved over to the Betapak site at Rookley. All ITC staff will also merge with Betapak – with over 75 years of collective knowledge in the tea & coffee business, any and all queries and requests can be dealt with.
What’s next for the Betapak group? The immediate future will be taken up by ensuring systems and processes are combined quickly and effectively so that customers get an outstanding service every time. But beyond that, the company will continue to look for further opportunities to extend their product ranges and ensure that customers really do get EVERYTHING they need in a convenient one-stop shop.
