BoatLife Fishing Championship comes to the Isle of Wight

An exciting new national Fishing Championship was officially launched to much acclaim at the BoatLife Show last month.

The inaugural BoatLife Fishing Championship is a dynamic catch and release boat angling competition challenging businesses and brands to enter not just for UK Champion status, but to showcase their products, promote their campaigns and to support growth for the recreational fishing and leisure marine sectors.

Coming to Cowes in July
The four stages of the competition will be held in Conwy (Wales) 17th-19th May, Cowes (Isle of Wight) 12th–14th July, Plymouth (Devon) 4th-6th October and St Peter’s Port (Guernsey) 14th-17th November.

Each stage will consist of three days of fishing fun across each weekend, with Friday being a free practice day followed by two separate competition rounds on the Saturday and Sunday. Each stage location and the timings have been carefully considered for weather conditions and species availability as well as provision of shoreside facilities.

The four base marinas, Boatfolk Conwy, Cowes Yacht Haven, MDL’s QAB Plymouth, and Victoria Marina Guernsey, all have an excellent range of onsite amenities which make them ideal to host such a prestigious event.
