Bob Seely MP going to Davos for WEF this week (updated)

Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Bob Seely, will be in the Davos, Switzerland this week for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting.

It took three follow up emails to finally get a response, which came this afternoon, with Bob’s office confirming the news to News OnTheWight that,

“Bob has been invited to speak on Russia and Ukraine and will go for a short time.”

News OnTheWight asked what days he would be attending, but were told that information is not advertised in advance for reasons of personal safety.

A spokesperson said,

“We have to balance transparency with personal safety.”

Seely is a member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee.
