The current Isle of Wight MP, Conservative Bob Seely, actually voted against a fracking ban last night (Wednesday).
Official Parliamentary records did, and still do, show him as ‘no vote recorded’, as News OnTheWight reported last night.
Failed to respond
Sadly, despite News OnTheWight writing to Bob at 8pm last night asking him whether he abstained or wasn’t present for other reasons, he failed to respond.
It seems that he chose to tell his selected media outlets today that the official record was incorrect.
Draft bill
The motion, put forward by Labour, would have seen the journey started towards a guarantee that fracking could not happen on the Isle of Wight.
Bob Seely voted against this by supporting the line of the Conservative Party.
