Officers searching for missing man Alan Souter have discovered a body this morning (Friday).
Police say that formal identification has not yet taken place, but his family have been informed.
The 62-year-old from Freshwater had last been seen on Monday 8th April at The Needles and extensive searches had been carried out, as well as a public appeal launched.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
