Lower Gills Cliff Road in Ventnor has been closed by Island Roads after large boulders decided to separate themselves from the cliff face and take out one of the traffic lights last night (Thursday).
The large boulders have been moved into the southbound carriageway, but the road remains closed as of Friday afternoon.
The steps leading up to St Albans Church and the higher section of Gills Cliff Road are still in operation.
