Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the friends, colleagues and family of Brenda Lawson today, as we hear that, after a long illness, Brenda has sadly passed away.
Not only a Ventnor Town Councillor for many years, Brenda contributed a huge amount to the community of Ventnor as well as the Island, being involved in an endless number of committees and voluntary organisations.
She retired recently after years of serving on the Ventnor Carnival Committee, so today’s procession will be particularly poignant.
Her selfless giving will be remembered and have an impact on the community for years to come.
