Brightbulb lands national finalist spot at UK Company Culture Awards 2024

Island based, design, web and software agency, Brightbulb, have been announced as a national finalist at the 2024 UK Company Culture Awards.

The team have been nominated in the best charitable / corporate social responsibility initiative for their Mince Pie Marathon charity event which this year was sponsored by Isle of Wight Tomatoes.

Nurturing their workforce
The UK Company Culture Awards recognise organisations across the country that nurture their workforce, reward their staff, and create an environment that proves everyone is valued.

It celebrates workplaces that see their staff as people and strive to care for employee’s career development, mental health, and physical well-being.

Brightbulb Managing Director, Matt Jeffery, stated,

“We are really excited to see Brightbulb’s Mince Pie Marathon nominated for a national award. It puts our event alongside some remarkable UK, charitable / CSR initiatives.

Stiff competition
Brightbulb has been nominated alongside Berry Bros and Rudd, Oban International / YMCA DownsLink Group and Redbrain and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The category recognises the work that businesses and in-house teams do to support their local community or charity of choice.

Raising money for Wight Brainy Bunch
The Mince Pie Marathon is an innovative initiative created by Brightbulb CEO, Matt Jeffery, four years ago to help raise money for the Wight Brainy Bunch, brain tumour charity.

The event has engaged businesses and members of the community on and off the Island through the sale and delivery of mince pies, helping raise close to £25,000 since its inception for charity.

Jeffery: It creates an incredible team bond
Brightbulb Head of Happiness, Fiona Jeffery, commented,

“The Mince Pie Marathon is a big part of our company culture at Brightbulb. The whole team enjoy getting behind it and promoting the event.

“It creates an incredible team bond and helps with our own CSR as a growing UK business.”

The winners will be announced at an awards gala evening on Thursday 2nd May at the prestigious Sheraton Grand, Park Lane in London.
