Bubble Bath

matey bubble bathWe all know that Ventnor is a funny old town, and that’s why we’ve decided to start a brand new monthly comedy night in the bar of the Gardens, starting on Tuesday 28th March.

It’s called The Bubble Bath, and each month will feature a great mixture of established stand ups and new, emerging talents.

We’re starting off in the 100 capacity bar of the venue, but who knows? Before too long we may well be packing the main hall with big comedy names!

Topping the bill is REX BOYD
American- born Rex has been performing all over the world for more than 18 years and brings his great experience of street performance, variety and live theatre to his comedy routine. Expect the unexpected as he can do more or less anything!

Opening the night will be GEOFF NORCOTT
Geoff is a versatile rising star who has already performed at comedy clubs all over the UK. He does all kinds of material, including devastating rap parodies, impressions and pure gag driven stand up. This is a fresh new comedian for a fresh new comedy night!

Every month we’ll be showcasing a relatively new stand up, and in March it’s STEVE PARRY — Steve’s a newcomer on the comedy scene but comes highly recommended as a bright up and coming performer. Who knows, one day you might be telling your children about how you saw the equivalent of Ricky Gervais or Steve Coogan at the Ventnor Winter Gardens!

Compere — STAN STANLEY
A likeable Brummie in the Jasper Carrott vein, Stan has won acclaim for his beautifully delivered satirical material, and will host the opening night of the Bubble Bath.

Tickets will be £12.50, and will be available in advance from the venue or our office at 6, Pier Street, Ventnor. Telephone 01983 856206 for details & tickets.

Doors open 7:30, and the two hour show kicks off at 8:30.

Oh by the way, although we won’t be booking so called “blue” comedians, modern standups can use quite ripe language, so this show isn’t for under 18s or those likely to be offended!
