As VB reported on Monday, this lunchtime sees an anti-budget cuts rally take place in Newport.
Public sector workers will be gathering in St James’ Square between 12-2pm to hear speeches by local and regional union officers.
The protest is in defence of jobs and services and against the Government’s strategy of massive public service cuts.
Unison members from the Health Trust and the IW College will also be present, with the rally also being supported by other local trade union groups in line with TUC policy.
The speeches will take place between 12.45pm and 1.15pm.
