Island Roads have temporarily closed Burnt House Lane Newport from its junction with Downend Road and Pan Lane.
The closure is to clear fallen branches and debris from the road.
The diversion will affect Downend Road, Long Lane, Staplers Road, Godric Road, Snooks Hill, Coppins Bridge, St Georges Way and Burnt House Lane.
