The Isle of Wight fire brigade safely removed a butane cylinder after a fire at a workshop in East Cowes around 6pm this evening.
Thick smoke was encountered, filling the commercial workshop in Alfred Street, which was used as a garage.
They brought the 3m x 5m fire under control while using two sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
The thermal imaging equipment was needed, due to the thickness of the smoke, to locate the source of the fire and the location of the cylinder.
